Purdue Student Kills Dorm Advisor, Self
A shotgun-wielding Purdue University grad student killed a dorm supervisor who had turned him in on a cocaine charge, then the gunman took his own life as police closed in. The names of the victim, an undergraduate, and his killer were not immediately released. According to reports, the gunman walked into Wiley Hall and entered the supervisor’s third-floor room. He then shot the supervisor twice. The gunman then ran down the hall and locked himself in his room, Purdue spokesman Joe Bennett said. The gunman then shot himself. University spokeswoman Ellen Rantz said the dorm supervisor had found cocaine in the other student’s possession and alerted campus police.
