Prep School Students Named AP Scholars

Share

Six Villanova Preparatory School students were named AP Scholars by the College Board in recognition of exceptional achievement on the college-level Advanced Placement Examinations.

The recipients are:

Case Lewis, a freshman at Vanderbilt University; Robert Saliba, a freshman at Cal Tech; Jennifer Stevens, a freshman at UC San Diego; Terran Olson, a freshman at Hampshire College; and Luana Mueller and Prashant Verma, both seniors at the Ojai private school.

AP Examinations, which students take in May after completing college-level courses at their high school, are graded on a 5-point scale. Most of the nation’s colleges and universities award credit and/or placement for grades of 3 or higher, and more than 1,300 institutions award a year of credit (sophomore standing) to students with a sufficient number of qualifying grades.
