Euro Disney Chairman Bourguignon Gets Additional Post

Walt Disney Co. Monday named Euro Disney Chairman and Chief Executive Philippe Bourguignon to the additional position of executive vice president for Walt Disney Co. Europe.

Disney said Bourguignon will work with the European heads of each of Disney’s major operating units to optimize Disney’s businesses in Europe by coordinating all the company’s activities there and helping define Disney’s overall strategy in the region.

His primary responsibility will continue to be the Disneyland Paris Resort. Disney said business unit heads will continue to have responsibility and accountability for the operation of their individual business units.

Bourguignon, 48, was named chairman and chief executive of Euro Disney in April 1993. He joined the Euro Disney project in 1988 as head of real estate development.

* Chris Adelmann has been named senior vice president of Warner Bros. International Theatres.

* Mark Lipps was named vice president of network distribution of Fox Broadcasting.

* Edward Teets has been named senior vice president of physical production of Phoenix Pictures.

* Bob Whittaker has been named president of the Grand Ole Opry Group of Gaylor Entertainment.

* Elliot Fischoff has been named to the newly created position of senior vice president of public relations for Jim Henson Productions.

* Carol R. Monroe has been named senior vice president, program services, and Karen DiNoto has been promoted to vice president, development and creative affairs, Fox Kids Networks, Worldwide.

* Buena Vista International has promoted Teri Ritzer to senior vice president, international publicity, and Stuart Salter to senior vice president and general manager, Europe.

* John Hegeman has been named executive vice president of marketing for Metromedia Entertainment Distribution.
