Teaching Program Targets High Schools
Cal State Fullerton has received a $30,000 grant from a business to begin a Future Teachers of Mathematics, Science and Technology program at local high schools.
University officials said the program, designed to increase the number of students who will pursue careers teaching science, math and technology, will be implemented at six high schools in the Fullerton Joint Union High School District.
The program will later be expanded to other school districts in the county, officials said.
The grant was awarded by Beckman Instruments Inc. of Fullerton.
