Sync Research Inc.: The Irvine networking products company incurred a net loss of $3.5 million, or 23 cents a share, for the third quarter, which included one-time costs of $1.3 million related to the acquisition of Tylink in August. That compares with a net loss of $494,000, or 5 cents a share, for the third quarter a year ago. Revenue was flat at $9.3 million. For the nine-month period, the company reported a net loss of $7.6 million, or 52 cents a share, compared with a net loss of $1.6 million, or 20 cents a share, for the same period in 1995. Revenue increased 8% to $25.9 million from $23.9 million.
