Forum to Discuss 911 for Hearing Impaired
The Ventura County Transportation Commission, GTE and Pacific Bell are teaming up to provide a demonstration of emergency and telephone equipment for the deaf and hard of hearing during a public forum tonight.
The forum will focus on “everything you always wanted to know about 9-1-1, but didn’t know who to ask,” organizers said in a news release.
The event is a cooperative effort among fire and police departments across the county, as well as the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department, 911 services, the transportation commission, GTE and Pacific Bell.
The event will take place from 7 to 9 p.m. at the community room of Oxnard Library, at 251 South A St.
