Rainbow Technologies Inc.: The Irvine software protection company recorded net income of $2.5 million, or 33 cents a share, for the third quarter, compared with $2.5 million, or 32 cents a share, for the prior-year period. Revenue increased 11% to $17.6 million from $15.8 million. Year-to-date net income was up 16% to $8 million, or $1.03 a share, from $6.9 million, or 89 cents a share, for the first nine months of 1995. Sales rose 16% to $55.8 million from $48.2 million.
