Health Fair to Offer Information, Services

Moorpark residents will get the chance to learn more about medical programs and services available to them locally at a health fair for families Saturday.

The “Family Health Fair of Moorpark,” from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Flory School’s Pediatric Wellness Center, 240 Flory Ave., will offer free information in English and Spanish regarding a variety of health-care issues, provided by the Ventura County Health Care Agency and other organizations.

Arthritis, high blood pressure, diabetes, childhood immunizations, women’s health concerns and prenatal care will be among the topics covered at the fair by physicians, nurse practitioners, health educators and volunteers.

A complete blood test to detect anemia, high cholesterol and other ailments will be performed for $10, and tours of the Pediatric Wellness Center will also be given.

The event is sponsored by the Moorpark Unified School District and the Ventura County Health Care Agency.
