Campaign Signs: Writing’s on Wall
* With all the furor caused by candidates accusing one another of tearing down their political signs, I would like to make a simple suggestion: Don’t put them up at all.
I doubt these signs are really that much use to the candidates, and most people I have spoken with consider them to be no better than the graffiti or trash already lining our streets.
I also hope that the candidates who use these signs apply the same vigor used to put them up to take them down after the election. It is sad but probably true that we will all be looking at this visual clutter well into the next year.
