Computer Sciences Names Chairman

Computer Sciences Corp. said Van Honeycutt, the company’s president and chief executive, will succeed William Hoover as chairman of the board, effective March 28, the end of the company’s fiscal year. Honeycutt, 51, will continue as president and CEO and Hoover, 66, will remain on the board and serve on the executive committee of the El Segundo-based company. Honeycutt assumed the roles of president and chief operating officer in 1993. He became chief executive in March 1995 and was not replaced as chief operating officer.
