Cisco Systems Profit Soars 77%

San Jose-based Cisco Systems Inc. said its fiscal first-quarter earnings rose 77% to $320.8 million, or 47 cents a share, up from $181.4 million, or 28 cents, in the year-ago period. Wall Street had expected the company to earn 46 cents a share. . . .
