Official Heads Probe of American’s Slaying

Russian Interior Minister Anatoly S. Kulikov said he is personally supervising the investigation into the killing of American businessman Paul E. Tatum in Moscow. Tatum, 41, was shot 11 times Sunday as he emerged from a subway station a few hundred yards from the Radisson-Slavjanskaya Hotel, in which he held a 40% stake. Kulikov said investigators are considering various motives, including a showdown with other owners of the hotel.
