STM’s 3rd-Quarter Net Income Is $52,000

STM Wireless Inc., a manufacturer of wireless communications products, said third-quarter net income totaled $52,000, or 1 cent a share, down from the $912,000, or 15 cents a share, for the year-earlier quarter. Revenue advanced 11%, to $7.9 million, from $7.1 million. The company said the recision of a sale to a customer in Brazil reduced revenue by $2.1 million and earnings per share by 17 cents. Nine-month net income fell to $925,000, or 15 cents a share, from $2.3 million, or 38 cents a share, for the corresponding three quarters of 1995. Revenue was up 10%, to $25.2 million, from $23 million.
