Fourteen graduate students at Cal State Fullerton each have received $3,000 grants.
The recipients are Virginia Alonzo and Heidi Rae Ford, both of Fullerton; Morgan Elizabeth Barrows of Laguna Niguel; Kenneth J. Dery and David Omar Velasco, both of Los Angeles; Victoria L. DeVore, La Mirada; Marianne C. Flinzner, Tustin; Niveen El Guindi-Shindy, Cerritos; Annette Gotts, Garden Grove; Susan Nachawati, Anaheim; Ava Denise Phillips, Chino; Carlos Rodriguez, Fontana; Ryder P. Smith, Carson; and Margarita L. Vasquez, Irvine.
The Graduate Equity Fellowship scholarships seek to increase the diversity of students completing graduate studies and to encourage continuation to doctoral programs and university faculty careers, officials said.
