This Country’s Big Enough for Both Tours

In response to Mike Penner’s Nov. 15 article “Power Struggle,” it’s a shame the author chose to ignore some important facts. Just like the marketplace has for years been big enough for many ice shows, so too can the marketplace support two gymnastics tours. Our “World Gold Gymnastics Tour” starring Kerri Strug, Bart Conner, Nadia Comaneci and Jair Lynch, is the largest touring show of gold medalists ever assembled.

Penner failed to mention that the majority of our dates are selling quite well. Not pointing out the positive aspects of both tours not only does a disservice to L.A. Times readers, but denigrates the athletes in the sport of gymnastics.
