Notre Dame 48, Righetti 14--Justin Fargas, the area’s leading rusher, led the top-seeded Knights (10-1) with scoring runs of four, 90, 35 and 37 yards in a game at Notre Dame.
The Knights will play the winner of tonight’s Lompoc-Thousand Oaks game.
Fargas rushed 15 times for 268 yards. He has scored 27 touchdowns this season.
The Knights outgained the Warriors, 475-291, and built a 28-0 halftime lead with 307 offensive yards while Righetti was held to 136.
David Escobar intercepted a pass from Warrior quarterback Tommy Criner and scored on a 25-yard return for Notre Dame’s final score with 2 minutes 58 seconds remaining in the third quarter.
Righetti (4-5) made its last attempt to rally when Criner hit Jason Ferkel for touchdown passes of 12 and 11 yards for the final two scores in the game.
