U.S. Must Not Forget Its POWs
Re “Ventura Chosen as Future Site of Veterans Homes,” Nov. 19: Could this be a cynical attempt by our government to spread a little money around in Ventura County to silence those concerned citizens who have dared to object to the fact that for the past 23 years American POWs in Vietnam have been compelled to live in hamster cages, are forced to build earthen dams and labor in rice paddies in the steaming jungle heat, and are coerced into playing Russian roulette to entertain visiting foreign dignitaries? Is that what this is all about? Wake up, America!
