Clipper update--They ended a six-game losing streak with a 96-89 victory over the Charlotte Hornets on Tuesday at the Sports Arena. The Clippers, who lost to the Bulls, 88-84, on Nov. 25 at the Sports Arena, have lost 11 of their last 12 games in Chicago. Guard Malik Sealy, who did a good job of checking Michael Jordan despite Jordan’s 40 points, sat out the Hornet game and is day to day because of a sprained right ankle. Fitch may start rookie swingman Lorenzen Wright at center for the second consecutive game. Center Stanley Roberts, who sat out the Hornet game because of a back injury, won’t make the three-game, five-day trip.
Bull update--Jordan had 40 points as the Bulls defeated the Milwaukee Bucks, 107-104, Tuesday night to end a seven-game, two-week trip with a 6-1 record. Jordan, who has won eight NBA scoring titles, is averaging 32.4 points per game. The Bulls on Wednesday activated 7-foot-1 center Robert Parish, who was put on the injured list last month because of a strained back. Going onto the injured list was Luc Longley, who hurt his shoulder in a swimming accident and is expected to be out at least eight weeks. The Bulls are off to the best start in franchise history and have won four consecutive games since a 105-100 loss at Utah on Nov. 23.
