BURBANK — Two crew members were slightly injured Friday night when a crane toppled on a Warner Bros. set--the second such accident in exactly two weeks, authorities said.
The first accident involved a different crane, which fell on the set of the television show “ER,” said Carl Samrock, a Warner Bros. spokesman. He said no one was hurt in that accident.
Friday’s accident occurred about 7 p.m. in the 4000 block of Warner Boulevard on the studios’ “New York” lot, authorities said.
The accident involved a different crane, which apparently was being used for a snow-making effect, Samrock said.
He said the two injured were the crane’s operators. They were taken to Los Angeles County/USC Medical Center, but “the injuries were not serious,” Samrock said.
