Bristol Technology Systems Inc.: The Irvine provider of point-of-sale systems, which had its initial public offering Nov. 13, recorded third-quarter net income of $14,566, or less than 1 cent a share, compared with net income of $57,047, or $56.99 a share, a year ago. Revenue was up 24% to $2.1 million from $1.7 million. The figures reflect results of Bristol and its Cash Registers Inc. subsidiary, acquired on June 28, 1996. Prior to that date, Bristol had no revenue or income.

For the nine-month period, a net loss of $23,632, or 1 cent a share, was posted, contrasted with net income of $187,873, or $187.69 a share, for the corresponding three quarters a year ago. Revenue advanced 39% to $6.1 million from $4.4 million.
