9 Candidates File for 2 City Council Seats
Nine candidates have declared their intent to run March 4 for two seats on the five-member West Hollywood City Council.
Mayor Paul Koretz, who has served on the council since 1988, is up for reelection, and council member Abbe Land is giving up her seat.
The candidates are: Howard Armistead, businessman and AIDS researcher ; John J. Duran, civil rights attorney; Bill Griffin, chiropractor; Dewey R. Jones, businessman; Michael Kopitman, educator; Serge Merritt, businessman; Christopher Patrouch, bookstore owner; Jeffrey Prang, aide to Los Angeles City Councilwoman Ruth Galanter; and Sibyl A. Zaden, psychological researcher.
