Redskins Seeking Return of Pennant
Times Wire Services
The Washington Redskins are asking for the return of a historic pennant stolen from atop RFK Stadium during Sunday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys.
The pennant, which the team estimated to be 60 years old, was lent to the Redskins by Aubrey Mahyew, a longtime employee at RFK, to help celebrate the team’s final game at the stadium.
The Redskins are moving to a new stadium in Landover, Md., next year after 35 years at RFK.
