Despite Progress, Irvine Loses Again
The University of San Diego got UC Irvine down early in a 70-49 victory Monday before 939 at the Bren Center in which the Anteaters showed progress. The Anteaters (0-7), who have lost 10 consecutive games dating back to last season, cut their turnovers to 16, eight below their season average.
Sean Flannery finished with 16 points to lead San Diego (5-4). Wendell Robinson scored 12 to lead Irvine.
