USC Lands Tailback From San Francisco

Share

USC apparently got a running back, Jabari Jackson, from City College of San Francisco on Tuesday. Jackson, a 6-foot-3, 215-pound tailback, led San Francisco to a 10-1 record last fall, gaining 1,622 yards--he averaged 6.4 a carry--and 17 touchdowns. He also caught 26 passes for nearly 500 yards.

Early reports had Jackson headed to Ohio State but his coach at CCSF, George Rush, said, “He’s going to SC. He sent them his signed letter of intent [Tuesday].”

Rush said Jackson, who went to San Francisco’s Riordan High School, would enroll at USC for the spring semester and participate in spring football practice.
