Catfish Delivery Due on New Year’s Eve
The new year is going to bring a whole new crop of catfish to Lake Casitas.
The Casitas Municipal Water District is scheduled to stock the lake with more than 2,800 pounds of channel catfish on Tuesday. The fish, weighing about one pound each, will be brought in from F & F Fisheries of Hanford, near Fresno.
Hoping to provide some excitement for local anglers, the district will also stock large catfish, some weighing more than 10 pounds. The district is also expanding the window for its reservation service. Starting Jan. 6, patrons will be able to make reservations at the campground up to 180 days in advance, instead of the current 90 days.
