Bank of Russia to License Securities Traders

Russia’s top securities regulator said it gave the Bank of Russia the right to license traders of state securities. The Federal Commission for the Securities Market, also known as the SEC, said it gave the license to the central bank Wednesday. The license runs from Jan. 1 to Dec. 31. The SEC decision allows the central bank to regulate trading in government treasury bills and bonds.
