Public Invited to See Parade Floats Bloom

The 108th Tournament of Roses Parade on New Year’s Day is the main draw, but the preparations can also be an attraction.

The public is invited to watch workers decorate floats at three locations in Pasadena: the Rosemont Pavilion, 700 Seco St.; the Rose Palace, 835 S. Raymond Ave.; and Brookside Pavilion at the west side of the Rose Bowl. The locations will be open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. today and Saturday; from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday and Monday; and from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday.

Admission is $1 for one location and $2 for two or three locations. Children 8 years old and under will be admitted free.

Several Rose Parade bands will perform outside the Rose Bowl at 2 p.m. Saturday, at 3 p.m. Sunday, and at 2 p.m. Monday. Equestrian shows begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at Santa Anita Park in Arcadia.
