Actor George Clooney shook up Hollywood when he took a stand in late October against the so-called stalkerazzi and the tabloid TV shows that buy their footage. Clooney decided that enough was enough after “Hard Copy” ran footage of himself and his girlfriend, Celine Balidran, that Clooney considered invasive. He told Paramount, “Hard Copy’s” owner, that he would no longer cooperate with “Entertainment Tonight,” also owned by Paramount. Madonna, Whoopi Goldberg and Steven Spielberg were among the throngs of celebs who joined the boycott. Within a week, Paramount announced that “Hard Copy” would no longer buy such footage.
