Library Will Be Open Fridays Through June
More money from the City Council will keep the Fountain Valley branch library open on Fridays through June.
The financially strapped county library system proposed closing the branch on Fridays for at least half of the year to make up for budget shortfalls. But the council agreed to spend $23,000 to maintain the existing schedule.
Friday hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The branch at 17635 Los Alamos St. also is open every day except Sunday.
