Long Beach State ended a four-game conference road losing streak Thursday night with a 68-67 victory over Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Guard Brandon Titus made a three-point basket as time expired, and guard James Cotton led all scorers with 26 points. Long Beach State will take sole possession of second place in the Western Division with a victory tonight. UC Santa Barbara defeated division-leading Pacific, 75-69, Thursday night. Cotton is battling UC Santa Barbara guard Raymond Tutt for the Big West scoring title.
