VitalCom Inc.: The Tustin provider of computer networks for medical data posted a net loss of $6.4 million, or 90 cents a share, for 1996, contrasted with net income of $1.6 million, or 28 cents a share, for 1995. Revenue declined 23% to $18.4 million from $24 million.

For the fourth quarter, the company recorded a net loss of $3.9 million, or 50 cents a share, which included a $748,000 write-off of deferred tax assets, a $481,000 restructuring charge and a $415,000 charge for an executive reorganization and corporate restructuring. A year ago, the company earned $697,320, or 12 cents a share. Revenue dropped to $3.5 million from $8.1 million.
