Police to Discuss Issue of Crime Prevention
The Ventura Police Department will hold a Public Safety Committee meeting at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Montalvo police storefront, 6368 Bristol Road, in Ventura.
Officer John Garner will discuss the city’s various crime prevention programs, Neighborhood Watch, Scared Safe, the Citizens Academy and other east Ventura safety issues.
Other topics will include reducing the availability of alcohol for minors, Citizens Alert television and the addition of a new police satellite storefront in east Ventura.
