Understanding the attitude but wishing he hadn’t quite phrased it the way he did, the other Bruin players said they know that J.R. Henderson’s “it’s just SC” quotes will guarantee that the second-place Trojans come to Pauley Pavilion breathing fire as UCLA tries to maintain its conference lead. “We respect SC, but we don’t fear anybody,” said Bruin point guard Cameron Dollar, who has recently been dominant on defense. “I wouldn’t have put it in those words, but since he said it like that, it’s time for us to come out and back him and his words up.” USC players say they understand why Henderson would make such comments. “They are UCLA. They can say those things,” forward Gary Williams said. But that didn’t stop the Trojans from pinning Henderson’s comments up in the locker room. “Personally, that sort of talk doesn’t affect me, but maybe with some of the other guys, it will scare them, or maybe it will motivate them. We will have to see,” Williams said. USC’s Rodrick Rhodes, who didn’t practice Monday because of flu, is expected to play tonight.
