Volleyball Tournament Set for Dana Point
The $8,000 Health Emporium Open, a men’s volleyball tournament, will be held today and Sunday at Doheny State Beach in Dana Point.
Many professional beach players, including Ricci Luyties, are scheduled to participate. Former Long Beach State setter Jason Stimpfig and former UC Irvine player Leland Quinn, will also participate. The final will be Sunday at noon.
Three-time Olympic gold medalist Karch Kiraly and Paul Higgins will serve as commentators for the event for Cox Communications, which will broadcast the semifinals and final.

Andrea Kleckner, a pitcher/first baseman at Fountain Valley High, has made an oral commitment to Wichita State, she said Friday.
Kleckner primarily played first base last season at Fountain Valley. She was recruited by the Shockers to pitch and play shortstop.
