Crackdown Planned on Speeding Drivers
In response to numerous citizen complaints, Thousand Oaks sheriff’s deputies warned that they will target speeding drivers in the area of Burning Tree Drive for the next week.
Police said residents and department personnel have observed drivers exceeding the 25-mph speed limit.
Burning Tree Drive runs through a residential area and has a great deal of pedestrian traffic during the day and evening.
Thousand Oaks-based deputies hope that cracking down on speeders will reduce the number of traffic accidents and injuries.
