Duck update--They rebounded from a 3-1 loss to the Kings on Thursday to beat Phoenix, 4-2, on Saturday. “We were just brutal against the Kings,” said right wing Joe Sacco, who scored the go-ahead goal against Phoenix, his second game-winning goal in three games. “We had to come out with a big effort against Phoenix.” Teemu Selanne has an eight-game point streak and goals in six of the last eight games. Paul Kariya has 23 points in the last 16 games and has at least an assist in 18 of the last 19 home games.

Canuck update--They lost to the Kings, 4-0, Saturday night and have to turn around and play a 5 p.m. game against the Ducks. “Honestly, I hope it will be a physical game and wear them down,” Duck Coach Ron Wilson said. “Then they’ve got to respond within 24 hours.” Vancouver has gotten the better of the Ducks this season, winning three of four games and outscoring them, 17-9. Only eight days ago, the Canucks beat the Ducks, 4-2, in Vancouver in a game that wasn’t nearly as close as the score seemed.
