Win Over Duke Puts UCLA Back Into AP Top 10

UCLA’s victory Sunday over Duke must have impressed Associated Press poll voters, as the Bruins returned to the top 10 Monday.
The Bruins’ victory over the then-No. 6 Blue Devils, 73-69, and a victory over USC last Wednesday pushed UCLA (17-7) from 17th to 10th--its highest position since a No. 5 ranking in the first regular-season poll.
UCLA was ranked for four more weeks before falling out for seven weeks, then returned three weeks ago at No. 24 and moved up seven places each week.
In Monday’s USA Today/CNN coaches’ poll, the Bruins moved from 17th to 14th.
