No Fallout From Jazz Discord
After a shouting match in which angry Utah Coach Jerry Sloan ordered two Delta Center security guards to escort Chris Morris off the court, things seem to be normal again.
No disciplinary action was taken and there was no comment about what was said toward the end of Utah’s victory over New York Tuesday.
“Chris and I sat down and talked about the situation this morning,” Sloan said. “We apologized. I was upset and he was a little upset. Everything’s fine. We’re going about our business.”

The Seattle SuperSonics put All-Star forward Detlef Schrempf on the injured list with a partial tear of a tendon in his right foot. Schrempf, 34, suffered the injury in Wednesday’s loss at Indiana. . . . The Houston Rockets have agreed to stay in town at least until 2003 in exchange for the city’s agreement to drop a lawsuit against the team.
