Round 2 of a four-game bout for the Trojans, who took the first step toward a strong finish by defeating Oregon on Thursday, 72-69. The Beavers have not won a road game, but USC narrowly escaped with a victory at Oregon State on Jan. 30, 71-68. Improved play by Rodrick Rhodes and solid performances from three other seniors Thursday helped put the Trojans on the plus side with three games remaining before selections for the NCAA Tournament.
