Spotlight: ‘Michelangelo’s’ Work to Be Exhibited Today

The computer virus “Michelangelo” is scheduled to be reactivated today--the 522nd birthday of the artist--though the offensive software probably won’t do much damage. The virus, which sits dormant on affected computers until March 6, created such a tizzy when it first struck in 1992 that most computer users have bought software to ward off the program and others like it. “Today the Michelangelo virus really doesn’t pose much of a threat,” said Alex Haddox of Cupertino-based Symantec Corp.
