Before the Bruins play their final two regular-season games, Coach Steve Lavin said he wasn’t concerned about his team’s two relatively uninspiring--but Pac-10 title-clinching--home victories last week over the Oregon schools. “From where we’ve come from in two months, it’s beyond my wildest dreams and expectations,” Lavin said. “If you were going to script it . . . this is exactly the way you’d want your team playing basketball.” Washington, which has lost only once in conference play at Hec Edmundson Pavilion--to California--must win to maintain an outside chance for an NCAA bid. UCLA, which beat the Huskies, 79-70, after trailing at halftime at Pauley Pavilion in January, must win to stay in the hunt for a No. 2 seeding in the tournament.
