Consolidated Revenues for View Tech Up for 6 Months

View Tech Inc. in Camarillo announced that its consolidated revenues for the six months ended Dec. 31 increased 42.8% to $19.87 million from $13.92 million for the same period in 1995.

However, the company incurred a net loss of $3.01 million, or 56 cents per share, for 1996, compared with net income of $394,189, or 7 cents per share, for the same period in 1995. The loss incurred for 1996 included the write-off of $2.56 million in connection with a merger with USTeleCenters on Nov. 29.

The figures include financial information relating to View Tech and Boston-based USTeleCenters.

For the second quarter ended Dec. 31, consolidated revenues increased 31.3% to $9.86 million from $7.50 million for the same period in 1995. View Tech incurred a net loss of $3.40 million, or 61 cents per share, for the three months ended Dec. 31, compared with net income of $119,547, or 2 cents per share, for the same period in 1995.

Second-quarter figures include the merger costs.

As a result of the merger, View Tech now offers a package of communications products to the business, education and medical communities, including voice, video and data networks and Internet access and services.

The company recently announced its decision to change the end of its fiscal year from June 30 to Dec. 31.
