A mail-delivery vehicle designed by a team of eight Brea-Olinda High School students was one of 30 designs selected for the final round of the national Build Your Dream Vehicle Competition.

The eight-student team traveled to the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles to present the vehicle design and marketing plan. Their souped-up mail truck had more room for mail bags, a radio, air conditioning and extra shelving, said team member Jamyna Scherer, 16, of Brea.

The dream vehicle competition, sponsored by Chrysler Corp., challenges high school students to design environment-friendly cars.
