Secessionists Raise Roadblocks, Flag

Secessionists pulled down Comoran flags, raised the red flag of an 18th century sultan and set up roadblocks on the Indian Ocean island of Anjouan, witnesses said. They said the island was brought to a standstill for a second consecutive day by protesters setting up roadblocks and burning tires on the road from the main airport in Anjouan to the regional capital of Mutsamulu. Businesses and government offices remained closed.
