Disabled Parking

So, just exactly what would Richard Deight (letter, March 12) have us do? Ban all handicapped parking placards? He states: “We have all seen full parking lots and empty handicapped spaces, some of which are never used.” This in itself seems to prove that people are not abusing these spaces. Where is the problem here?

After once getting a placard, it has to be updated after two years. I think Deight has been very mean-spirited in his assessment.

When he speaks about a “privileged” class being created, it is laughable. I feel very “privileged” to be the subject of the whims of a disease such as multiple sclerosis.
