Film Capital: Fallout continues from the North Hollywood bank shootout. LAPD officers say out-of-town agencies keep calling. “We’ve had dozens of requests from other police organizations all over the country,” said Lt. Tony Alba. The hottest demand is for film footage of the action, sought for police training purposes. . . . “All we can do is refer them to the local media,” Alba confessed. Now detectives expect a call from St. Louis, where two men firing automatic weapons killed a security guard during a bank robbery Monday.

Top Billing: Two local productions have won Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle awards (F1). . . . Claiming four trophies each were “Great Expectations,” a production of A Noise Within in Glendale, and “Eleemosynary,” produced by West Coast Ensemble for Ventura Court Theatre in Studio City.

Tamara Zook was honored for her role in “Homefires” at the Road Company in North Hollywood.

In the Game: The Master’s College in Newhall may lack wide recognition in basketball. But freshman guard Jerome Joseph, above, is happy he’s there. . . . He’s with his team in Oklahoma today for a national tournament (C6).

Cop Calls: Suspicious of those calls asking for money for police and fire department charities? You should be. Today’s Street Beat (B3) explains why most are either bogus or borderline legal. “It’s one of the worst exploitations,” says Police Commissioner Art Mattox.
