Anaheim police arrested three juveniles for allegedly assaulting a woman and stealing her car at knifepoint as she went to a post office Sunday night, police said.

The victim, a 60-year-old woman whose name was not released, drove to a post office at 10 p.m. in her Chrysler Le Baron at Lincoln Avenue and Peregrine Street. When she returned to her car, a 15-year-old boy and a 14-year-old girl approached her and forced her into the car at knifepoint, police said. The victim was forced to drive her car to the vicinity of Lincoln Avenue and Sunkist Street and then forced to leave.

The boy punched the woman about five times in the face, police said.

The suspects then drove to a group home where they picked up a 13-year-old boy. After they were spotted by patrol officers, the suspects attempted to get away, police said. The female suspect crashed the car into a tree on the 1800 block of North Bristol Street in Santa Ana, police said.
