SHRIMP BOASTS

I enjoyed Hunter Drohojowska Philp’s article on my friend Martin Kersels, but there is a misunderstanding about Shrimps (“He Likes to Throw His Weight Around,” March 23).

Shrimps is not defunct or disbanded. We are alive, well and, in Shrimps fashion, performing sporadically. Though we miss Martin, the work obviously changing direction since his absence, Shrimps continues to perform, as always, in the more low-key venues around town. Our next performance, “Screech,” will be through A.S.K. Theater Projects at UCLA on June 18, 20 and 22, with an open workshop on the 19th. We will also perform at Cal State L.A. in October.
