Contract Considered for Airport Upgrades

Share

Ventura County supervisors on Tuesday will consider awarding a $52,400 contract to a Santa Rosa firm to conduct preliminary work on an Oxnard Airport improvement project.

The proposed contract with Shutt-Moen Associates Inc. calls for design and engineering work on reconstruction of the airport’s taxiway, replacement of the taxiway lighting system and installation of security lighting, officials said. The entire cost of the project is estimated at $880,546.

The county has already received about $792,491 in federal grants to pay for the improvements. The remainder of the cost will be paid for with matching funds from the county Department of Airports.
