What it is: Where to even start? This is a massive database with movie information that includes summaries and credits; how much the film cost to make, how much it made in both theatrical and video release (by country) and how many tickets were sold (by country); soundtrack details; release dates; laserdisc information, including price, availability, video standard, disc size and catalog number; technical specifications; film format; aspect ratio (whatever that is); links to reviews, fan clubs, sites and stills; awards information; distributors; and ratings. You can also pick a city and see what films were made there; get theater schedules for movies playing that day in just about every area of just about every country; take a quiz (don’t bother, kind of stupid); check to see whether your favorite movie has crazy credits (things that happen while or after the credits are rolling); add your favorite bit of movie trivia; find links for clips or sound bites; and learn when celebrities got married and buried. And that’s not all.

Comments: It’s unfathomable what nonindustry people could need with this much information. But people want the darndest things. And if you so much as think about using it to glean movie quotes to use in conversation... *
